1. Introduction
New Old Closet™ ("New Old Closet," "we," "us," or "our") is a digital wardrobe organization service operated by NOC Ware Inc., a California corporation.
Our service helps customers organize clothing photographs, create neatly presented digital wardrobes, coordinate outfits, and plan what to wear.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, which service providers may process it, and how customers can exercise their privacy rights.
This Policy applies to newoldcloset.com, the New Old Closet application, and associated services.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect information such as your name, email address, account identifier, authentication information, and account preferences.
Phone numbers and optional text messages
If you provide a mobile number in Settings, we collect and store that number, your messaging preferences, and records of your consent or withdrawal. We use this information to manage optional outfit reminders and wardrobe updates. Text messaging is not currently active; saving your number does not send a text. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw permission in Settings or contact support@newoldcloset.com.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers, text-message opt-in information, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process this information only as needed to store preferences or deliver messages on our behalf when messaging is enabled.
Clothing photographs and wardrobe information
When you upload clothing, we process and may store:
- Original clothing photographs
- AI-edited, catalog-style clothing photographs
- Clothing categories, colors, brands, patterns, and descriptions
- Saved outfits, wardrobe organization, and outfit history
- Weekly outfit plans and vacation packing lists
- Information you voluntarily add to your wardrobe
Device and usage information
We may collect IP addresses, browser and device information, authentication events, error reports, security logs, and information necessary to administer usage limits and operate the service.
Location and weather information
If you permit location access or enter a destination, we use the information to provide local weather, outfit suggestions, and travel wardrobe recommendations.
We do not require continuous background location tracking.
Payment and subscription information
When subscriptions are available, we and our payment providers may process subscription status, billing details, transaction identifiers, renewals, and cancellation information.
Complete payment card details are handled by the applicable payment provider. New Old Closet does not store complete payment card numbers.
3. Clothing Photo Processing and Artificial Intelligence
New Old Closet uses artificial intelligence to help create an organized digital wardrobe.
AI processing may include:
- Identifying clothing and classifying wardrobe items
- Recognizing colors and garment characteristics
- Removing backgrounds, hangers, and visual distractions
- Creating neatly arranged, catalog-style clothing images
- Generating outfit and wardrobe recommendations
To perform these operations, we transmit necessary images and related information to OpenAI through its API.
We use AI-processed clothing images to provide the service, not to sell a customer's private wardrobe photographs.
Important: AI may occasionally alter a garment's appearance, color, pattern, or details. Customers should review AI-processed images, especially when accurate color matching is important.
Where supported, original photographs remain available for customer review.
4. Personal and Full-Body Photographs
New Old Closet uses clothing photographs for wardrobe features and does not require body or face photographs for those features. We do not collect biometric identifiers.
An optional profile photo is stored only on your device and is not uploaded. You can remove this greeting photo in Settings.
If we introduce a feature that uploads personal or full-body photographs, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notices before that feature is enabled.
5. Photo Metadata and Location Privacy
Uploaded images may originally contain metadata, including camera details and GPS coordinates.
We do not use photo GPS metadata to track customers or for advertising.
If you prefer, you can remove location metadata from a photo before uploading it.
Precise location information, when requested for weather-related features, is used only to support the requested function and is not retained longer than necessary for that purpose, except where required for security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
6. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and maintain user accounts.
- Store, display, and organize digital wardrobes.
- Process clothing images and recognize clothing details.
- Provide outfit recommendations and packing lists.
- Deliver weather-based clothing suggestions.
- Manage subscriptions, billing, and support requests.
- Enforce photo-processing and wardrobe storage limits.
- Maintain security, detect abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell customers' private wardrobe photographs.
We do not use customers' private wardrobe photographs in marketing without appropriate authorization.
7. Service Providers
Depending on the functionality deployed, our service providers include:
OpenAI: Artificial intelligence, image transformation, and garment recognition.
Cloudflare: Application infrastructure and cloud-based wardrobe photo storage.
Clerk: User authentication and account management, where enabled.
Google: Optional Google-account sign-in.
Hosting providers: Website hosting and delivery.
Payment providers: Subscription and payment processing, when enabled.
Weather data providers: Weather forecasts for outfit and destination planning.
We disclose personal information to these providers as reasonably necessary to provide the service.
8. OpenAI Data Handling
New Old Closet uses the OpenAI API to process certain clothing images and associated information.
According to OpenAI's published API data policies, API information is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the account holder opts in to data sharing.
OpenAI may retain API abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default, with exceptions for applicable laws, safety requirements, and certain services or configurations.
Additional application-state retention may apply depending on the specific API endpoint.

9. Cloud Storage and Security
Customer wardrobe information and photographs may be maintained in cloud-based storage rather than exclusively on the customer's personal device.
We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards intended to protect personal information.
Access to private wardrobe data is restricted to the authorized user and personnel or service providers who require access to operate or support the service.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Customers should protect their account credentials and contact us promptly regarding suspected unauthorized access.
10. Retention and Deletion
We retain account and wardrobe information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, fulfill legitimate operational needs, or satisfy legal obligations.
Customers may remove clothing items from their wardrobes.
Customers may request account deletion, including deletion of associated wardrobe records and photographs, through available account controls or by contacting us.

After receiving and verifying a deletion request, we will remove eligible information from active systems and instruct applicable service providers to delete relevant information where required.
Certain information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, payment records, or other systems where retention is legally permitted or required.
Canceling a subscription does not necessarily delete an account. Deleting an account may not automatically cancel a subscription managed through Apple or Google; such subscriptions may require separate cancellation through the applicable store.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your residence and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Obtain information about data-processing practices.
- Request a copy of eligible personal information.
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
- Exercise other applicable privacy rights.

We may request reasonable identity verification before fulfilling a request.
We aim to acknowledge privacy requests promptly and respond within legally required timeframes.
Where California's Consumer Privacy Act applies, we generally confirm receipt of eligible requests within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days, subject to permitted extensions and exceptions.
12. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, when the law applies to NOC Ware Inc.
These may include rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, as well as applicable rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information and the use of sensitive personal information.
New Old Closet does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We will provide legally required notices, choices, and opt-out mechanisms if our practices change.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against customers for exercising applicable privacy rights.
13. Children's and Minors' Privacy
New Old Closet is intended for individuals aged 18 and older.
The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and individuals under 18 are not permitted to create accounts.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will take appropriate steps to disable the account and delete associated personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Parents or guardians may contact support@newoldcloset.com regarding suspected accounts belonging to minors.
14. Cookies and Authentication
Our website and application may use cookies or similar technologies to:
- Maintain authenticated sessions
- Remember settings and preferences
- Support essential application functionality

Any nonessential analytics or advertising technologies will be disclosed and managed according to applicable legal requirements.

New Old Closet is operated by a company based in the United States.
Information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
